The slots here in Vegas are pretty dry too. They print in the newspaper here that the revenue from winnings is way down. I wouldn’t even think about gambling here in Las Vegas. The casinos are struggling so badly, I would be surprised if anyone was winning anything..lol Our economy here is in the toilet, the homeless community is growing out of control, so many abandoned homes due to foreclosures and of course crime is way up. Obama can’t save shit!
By dontswin, November 9, 2009 @ 8:57 am
I can’t believe thats only one video I could find about the demise of vegas. Know of any others? Casinos near here in Connecticut are in deep shit, plus the slots are robbing the old ppl. The casinos may turn into nursing homes if Mass. does get casinos but its iffy for that to happen in current economy. Btw Obamas not gonna clean up shit..
Sure lets just blame everything on Bush don’t think for a minute he was entirely to blame..you forgot to mention Clinton or the community reinvestment act!!

No, nothing Obama said made us decline here in Las Vegas. We were on the decline way before he said anything. We are in a recession because of Bush’s dumb ass. Obama is left to clean up the mess. Las Vegas is a greedy place. The utility companies push for increases every few months, the price of food has gone up.. The price of gas is too high and the JOBS IN VEGAS DON’T PAY SHIT! They really expect someone with a college degree to work for $8.50 per hour. Please, Vegas sucks!
By Wishlist2day, November 9, 2009 @ 8:57 am
Las Vegas sucks. I know, I live here. Crime is way out of control, foreclosures are the highest in the nation. Unemployment is up past 13%. The utility companies keep raising their prices. Paying $600 for electricity per month is unheard of anywhere else. The casinos are not paying out like they use to. More people are walking away from their homes and leaving the state. I don’t blame them. Las Vegas sucks!

^If your that dramatic to my comment, I see how you were able to take Obama’s so far out of context. He compared Vegas/Superbowl/corp jets all as luxury’s and inappropriate spending for companies being bailed out. I think most reasonable people wouldn’t have a problem with that statement. The only immorality behind the trip is if the tax payer is paying for it. That quote was a month after his inauguration. It doesn’t take a blind apologist to see that the decline was already there.
By seanseanseanseansean, November 9, 2009 @ 8:57 am
Obama wasn’t comparing Vegas with the Super Bowl, you completely blind Obama apologist! He was holding up Vegas as an example of wasteful and distasteful travel destinations. He was trying to make a trip to Vegas socially unacceptable, something immoral to be scorned by all! He *is* responsible for decline!
By Cameronx, November 9, 2009 @ 8:57 am
I just looked up the ‘dis’. You are not going to be able to give out these big bonuses until you pay taxpayers back. You can’t get corporate jets. You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers’ dime.” I find it funny that a comparison between Vegas and the Super Bowl is a dis.
By seanseanseanseansean, November 9, 2009 @ 8:57 am
You forgot to point out that Obama publicly put down the city. That led to even worse decline.

I am from minnesota
Women = time * money
Time = Money
Women = Money * Money
Money = root of all evil
Women = (root of all evil)*(root of all evil)
and we simplify
Women = Evil
Women are evil

as a resident of Vegas (and an employed worker her) I can quite relate. It’s sad how many jobs have been cut around here, businesses closing…etc. Granted it’s like that everywhere in the country, but with how big and fast our city here grows, it’s crazy how quickly it 180′d
