basically, Hendrix is one of those guitarrists who many try to emulate; some come close, but no one ever gets the technique just right (including SRV). The tones he uses, studio effects, precise control of the tremelo arm, wah pedal, hammer/pulloff madness, all integral parts to his intense and rich style.

I take it you’re a Nirvana faggot. Well, here gos. I’ll explain this to you again real slow, and fuckin hold your hand like a small child while I walk you through it once more … cobain got guitar playing confused with jerking off (hence the name of the debut nirvana album, bleach) whereas Hendrix is a fuckin musical genius. you may not like it, but that’s the way it is. you have shitty taste in music, but heeey, that’s okay, there’s forums for people like you. laters u jackoff poser.

He was mixing things that were unheard of at the time, he was using skills most others wouldn’t even know about until they heard him or found out themselves and even now 40 years later people have trouble using skill like he did. He was also VERY innovative and helped invent/invent many pedals. He also was known to plug in 5 distortion boxes at one time. That even know is ridiculous because back then the grittiest thing around was something like House of the Rising Sun by the Animals.

ye its just one but the way he played mixing lead and rhythm it was like he was doing the job of 2 guitarists or maybe even more

definitely the greatest! His technichel skill is great, his touch, the vision in his lyrics…all are amazing but when you think about it, the reason for it is because the man had so much soul…the guitar is just an extention of a bright burning soul

holy hell, amen to that dude. we need a FUNK AND ROCK REVIVAL

preface-i listened to mostly hip-hop, R&B growing up, so now that im a lil older, im trying to diversify myself as far as music goes. tapping into some different genre’s
whenever i see hendrix, people speak of him like he’s the GOAT (greatest of all time)

So my question to true rock and roll heads is, is he truely the greatest, or does it depend on who you ask, and whats the defining factor in his greatness?
Is he only using the one guitar throughtout this entire song???

    PLS respond!!

please don’t use Cobain and Hendrix in the same sentence. thank you.
